Buenos Dias! Halie is teaching me Spanish and how to use my iPhone, Facebook etc. I might have a snapchat account before this trip is over.
We landed in San Salvador at about 6:30 last night. Just before dark and it get dark quickly here. Carlos from the Papaya lodge in El Tunco emailed us in Guatemala while we were waiting for our plane and sent a friend to pick us up. By the way the Guatamala airport and city around it is unbelievable! Anyway, it took about 40 minutes to get to the lodge. Everyone was super nice. We have a very basic $20 room which comes with a fan, but we are right on the main strip next to the beach. We went to Monkey Lala for dinner. Up on a balcony overhanging the beach. Awesome lighting storm and winds began to come in. Once the rain let up we headed back towards our place and stopped at Munchies club for awhile. Seems like every little tiki joint had a sub woofer and dance music playing. We were out until 9:30 way past my bedtime. We showered (cold water only) and went to bed. Thank goodness for my nose noise canceling headphones, the party outside our door got louder as the night went on. It seems the music stopped and the roosters began to crow. That and the fresh bread guy on his bike squeezing his little bike horn. We just had the best breakfast ever and a cup of coffee. Not sure what we will do today, but it is going to be a very sunny happy day!
