Back in El Tunco and heading to airport today
Well we left Ataco yesterday afternoon. We took a couple buses and a taxi to reach El Tunco. We chose a cab because we could see more of the zig zag coastal road. $40.00 for a 2 hour ride. It was very relaxing and some great views. El Tunco felt like home as this is where we stared. We went for the air conditioning for an extra $5.00.
After dinner, another huge thunderstorm came rolling in as Halie and I laid in hammocks and did some reading. These thunderstorms are incredible and keep in mind it is dark around 6:30 ish around here.
We are now having breakfast and will head to the airport around 10:30.
Awsome trip, but we are both anxious to get home! :)
Ataco stay Thursday night
We took the bus to Ataco yesterday after or atv cruise which is a small town known for its murals on the side of buildings. It rained pretty hard this afternoon which was very relaxing. We stayed at a hotel her and today will make our way back to El Tunco (which means many buses). However we feel comfortable getting there late as we know Carlos now at the hotel there. He will stand transportation to the airport for us etc.
Here are more pictures from yesterday.

Zip Lining!
We had a blast! ....and we are alive! We also took a little atv tour. Both these activities have us a great view of the little villages and towns in the mountains.
We are now in Ataco having lunch. I am having tacos! :) Tacos are actually not that common around here.
What day is it? Hotel Santa Latica
IWe walked up the hill in Nahuizalco yesterday and spent time time looking at he market etc. We had spent most of the morning jumping bus to bus again.
(By the way, we have learned all bus drivers say they are going to what ever town you ask about. That just means they are going that general direction. They do not tell you there is direct bus or that if you take there's you need to take 3 more etc. It's kind of funny. We have never been lost yet. Most buses are a quarter and get you very far. 2-3 hour rides are sometimes 60 cents.)
And then we took a short ride onto Juayua. Most of the day was spent climbing higher into the mountains on buses. They build lots of furniture up in this area. I would of loved to jump off the bus and look at this area more. However up here buses run very infrequently.
Halie chose the hotel this time so we are at a mountain resort in Anepeca. This place is pretty crazy for here in El Salvador. Seems like someone's dream about 5-7 years ago. It is fancy, but my guess is it will be closed in a couple years. Build it and they will come mentality.
We took the bus back to Jauyua late yesterday afternoon. We actually seen about 3 Americans there. That makes maybe 5 this whole trip. Jauyua was a nice little town. We checked out the shops, had coffee etc. Our main lodge at the hotel closes at 5:00 and they also shut off all the power there and the wi-fi.
So Halie and I laid in the hammocks in from of our room for awhile and read. I bed by 8:00. It gets dark around 6:30.
At 9:00 we are going zip lining! Halie is pretty stoked. In just hoping the cables hold me. At 220, I am the biggest guy in the country! We are in the Ahuachapan mountains, so it should be pretty sweet.

Off to Izalco
We left Suchitoto after breakfast. About 8:30. Walked to Suchitoto plaza to catch a bus into San Salvador. San Salvador is massive, so of course we had no idea where to get off. Didn't care either, eventually the routes end. Of course some young guy sitting behind me asks if this is my first time to elsavador in very broken English. But he saved the day. He told us to get off with him and he took us to a cab and explained to the cab driver where we needed to go to catch the next bus, also price for can etc.
Halie and I talk about how every time we are clueless the right person just shows up! :)
Imagine being on a bus in the worst part of Chicago or New York, only way dirtier and having no comprehension of what people are saying...
Anyway, back out of the city and heading to another beautiful part of the country north from here. We are Botha little tired as some loud frogs or something kept is up very late.

First Afternoon in Suchitoto
It's just been an Awsome day. We found so many other little quaint hotels and wanted to stay at all of them. We decided to stay here for a few reasons. One is the owner is extremely nice and speaks English. It is also crazy charming and has wi-fi!
Here are a few more pictures from today.
Oh yeah, we are both sitting here reading enjoying a super cool thunderstorm!
